Several Rishis of the Shrutis (most of them) have allegedly composed compendiums pertaining to yoga siddhanta and this is only to be proceeded by Nathas and certain self proclaimed masters who later on composed texts such as the Hevajra, Heruka and Guhyasamaja tantras.

Whether or not Shiva samhita is authentic is a different story, most Hatha yogis and for that matter certain kriya yogis do not refute it but also dont take it as Gospel truth.

The greatest criticism one can give of that text is that it does require a Guru, those mudras that it mentions in some detail cannot be done unless one is supervised under the tutelage of a Guru.

Most proceeding samhitas, sutras and tantras which are affliated with this text (by schools) also make gross errors in their description and execution of the higher mudras.

A good example is the Khechari, it is completely wrong (but possible) to cut under the tongue to obtain this mudra. It is equated to removing the sinuses so that an individual may breathe from both nostrils (a sign of mastering Ida and Pingala and getting em open).

A lot of these texts have gross errors, and often fail to yeild any results.

Opening the Shushumna is simple but something that is difficult, it is only when Ida and Pingala are open that the opening of Shushumna can be executed. There are exceptions, but the natural way is by mastering anuloma-violoma and then doing hansa with both nostrils. the Soham is where both breathing from both nostrils and mouth can be done together.

These breathing exercises for far too long have been given the name of Kriya, if you read any detailed samhita they actually are hatha yoga exercises under the name of pranyamas. Too many people claim to know what kriya is and so I dont want to add on to their folly. Mudra and Dharana are two different things, the most basic form of hatha is Mudra the most basic form of kriya is dharana.

The best method of getting into to Yogas is first commit yourself to Brahmacharya which is a set of guidelines that give dietary and behavioural prohibitions. Secondly master asana and pranayama; this is done by establishing a routine. Pranayama with mantra is always said to be best however one should consider getting diksha in a specific mantra prior to commencing this.

These samhitas are a big distraction to those who actually seek the truth; this is due to a variety of reasons. Firstly how many of you can say that you actually know someone who mastered higher levels of yoga via the description given in Shiva Samhita, or Gheranda Samhita for that matter?
Second question do you think you will ever be able to find a suitable master who teaches protocol as established in these samhitas?

I am not refuting the information given in Shiva Samhita, in fact not only do I respect but I also study from it. What I am saying is when you make these statements of "opening" something via that grantha then you are disusing that text. Shiva samhita is not there for application or practical purposes, it is primarily there to give perspective on niyama and methodology of organizing yogic sadhana. The text was studied by students who already were given diksha in pranayama, asana and mudra applications.
<!--

It is a direct and powerful way to engage in your own growth and evolution. The life-stories of most of the great saints and sages, from all cultures, show tremendous struggle and pain that comes into their life after they have progressed in meditation, not before. There are both extra-ordinary benefits and extra-ordinary pains on this path. For meditation does what nothing else can it introduces you to yourself! So without further delay, introduce meditation into your life, and see the new and improved you. How do you begin, you ask? An easy way would be to put your attention on your breath and follow its inflow and outflow. Or you could begin by chanting a simple mantra and putting your entire attention on the sound and meaning of the words. The important thing is that you begin the practice of meditation; the technique that you use is not. Keep the following simple tips for meditation in mind to hasten your progress in your journey to self-realisation. 1. It is possible to meditate at any time, but an ideal time is at sunrise. 2. It promotes your inner work to practice regularly and at least once, ideally twice, a day (morning and evening). Practice is absolutely necessary. 3. Quiet surroundings are obviously helpful to the meditative process. Outer harmony (such as found in a beautiful park or at a picturesque lake) furthers inner balance. At home, it is helpful to create a special place for meditation. Ask your family to cooperate with you by not disturbing your meditation. 4. Prepare for your meditation session by washing your hands and face, and generally freshening up. This dispels drowsiness and promotes a wakeful, energetic disposition. 5. It is good to sit with the spine straight, whether it be on a chair or on the floor in the lotus posture.
6. Begin by taking a few deep breaths, expelling all tensions in the body and concerns of the mind. 7. Consciously relax your entire body, especially the chest and the facial muscles. 8. Resolve to dedicate yourself to the meditation process whole-heartedly. 9. Tell yourself, mentally or aloud, that for the duration of the meditation, nothing else matters. 10. Be willing to surrender your self and encounter the greater self. 11. Now begin your meditation practice, whatever your technique may be: the practice of Awareness, mantra recitation, contemplation of a particularly meaningful image, or abstract concentration. 12. Don’t be concerned about distracting thoughts, sensations and emotions. Neither welcome them nor repress them. Simply let them be and persist in your practice. Sooner or later your inner world will become calm. 13. There are no good or bad meditation sessions. All that matters is that you seriously engage the meditative process, regardless of the content that arises. Every meditation is a step toward greater inner freedom. 14. Don’t abandon your meditation at the first impulse to do so, especially when the going is rough. Stick with it for a while. Try to sit for at least fifteen minutes at the beginning, and after a few weeks of practice, for at least half an hour. Often you can overcome the initial resistance, and then you may find yourself in a completely different inner space. You will learn to recognize that there is a natural ending to every meditation, where it seems appropriate to get up. 15. After your meditation is over, review the session and affirm its positive aspects. 16. Throughout the day, try to recall the inner peace created by deep meditation. 17. Take on the discipline of not chatting about your meditation experiences to everyone, which would merely dissipate your energy and strengthen your ego
<!--

If communication is to deepen the relationship of faith, the matter of this conversation cannot be superficial small talk or even mind talk. It must involve a total sharing or encounter of persons. To understand prayer as communication in an interpersonal relationship, it will be helpful for us to notice how human beings come to know and love each other through communication. Love begins to grow when two people are willing to risk the real offering of self that can be achieved only in genuine self disclosure. This is the moment when we really put ourselves not the line, in telling another who we really are, where we ache, and where we reside. Implied in this kind of communication is the obvious risk of rejection, but without the heart to take this risk there can be no real encounter. We give little or nothing of ourselves until we give ourselves in this way. Without it, the material and other gift we exchange mean nothing. Love demands dynamic presence, not presents. We put something of ourselves into the hands of another when we confront his freedom of choice to accept us or to reject us. The Supreme risk, of course, is to tell another: “ I love you’’. This usually implies a request of acceptance. Will you let me love you? Will you have me? This is what God had said to us, and it is hopefully what we will someday be able to say to God. How should we speak to God?
<!--

However the word kunda also refers to a cavaity in which the brain lies or "Shiva kunda".In this sense kunda refers to the skull cavity in which the brain lies. The dissection of brain reveals that it resembles a snake coiled upon itself having the striking similarity with the coiled shakti as if keeping the creative record in the brain the way it has created & participated in the evolutinoary process in the universe of a being. If you pay attention to the Rudraksha, it also resembles the brain centres of the humans depicting the coils having link with cebro-spinal centres. The purpose of kriya kundalini yoga is to awaken this kundalini energy which requires much preperation & exercises involving postures,mudras(psycho-physical gestures), bandhs(muscular locks), pranayama,(breating therby controlling the prana & diaphram) meditation & mantras. When the aspirant is able to purify & balance certain subtle channels of energy known as the idakalai & pingala nadis in the spinal coloumn & gradually ignite this kundalini energy(shakti) at the base of the spine in the muladhara chakra, it begins to rise up through a central channel in the spinal cord known as sushumna nadi.As it rises it passes through various psycho-energetic centres of the human being representing the dimensions of the universe/cosmos also know as chakras. These chakras are interconnected with different areas & all of our latent faculties & divine potentialities are awakened one by one.As the kundalini passes theough the padmas these dormant areas & all of our latent faculities & divine potentialities are awakened in fullest measure & show us the origin how we came into existence in the universe. The 18 siddhas have referred to kundalini just awakened & difficult to control as the goddess "KALI DEVI".In the modern psychological terms this primal energy manifests at the level of the human subconscious. When this kundalini power can be controlled & when it brings peace & the beautitude goddess riding on a tiger becomed "DURGA" derived from ("DURG means on difficult path difficult to control).Kundalini when awakened manifests itself as crative energy at different levels of refinement. She is then worshipped in various forms of goddesses: Lakshmi,Parvati,Sarasvati & other forms of the divine mother.Leaders with great personal magnetism, geniuses & those with great creative ability are the ones in whom kundalini has awakened particular ares of the brain. It has manifested itself through them at varying levels of refinement depending upon their psychic inclinations & tendencies. When kundalini is fully awakened all dormant arese of brain are awakened & divinity is manifested through the individual. When kundalini awakens & reaches the sahasrara chakra, nirvikapa samadhi, the highest level of consciousness unfolds. The siddhas referred to this as the union of shiva & parvati shakthi in which the seer, the seeing & the seen merge as one.

When the kundalini awakens the physical body & its atomic structure begins to undergo changes as well. Its cellelular structure/cells become charged & rejuvinated with high velocity energy.Hormonal secretions may also change.A process of complete transformation is set in motion & person can keep himself alive for millions of years therby arresting disintegrating of the body & its elements. The body's two poles are united & cosmic consciousness is emerges.the aspirant enjoys heveanly bliss & an ambrosial nectar which drips from sahasrara & consumed by aspirant through shambhavi or Kechari mudras thereby secreting it into the blood stream, rejuvenating cells & prolonging life for thousands of years like many siddhas did & are doing it now , one of them is "GREAT MAHAAVTAAR BABAJI" who is more than 2000 years old usually seen in the body of 20's at Badrinath in himalayas ,other was "GORAKHNATH" who lived for hundreds of years on whose name there is a city called gorakhpur in India & that cave still exist where he meditated before moving to NEPAL. The siddhas worshipped this kundalini shakthi as the universal mother & in the form of a triangle, this has been further multiplies into 43 triangles, Sri chakra.By immense devotion to the supreme mother & meditation on the sacred mantras & hymns relating to the 43 triangles the siddhas gained mastery over the great Elements.
<!--

But true devotion increases with criticism and condemnation. As the great Kannada Veerashaiva saint BasavaNNa has said, a true devotee of Shiva should have his criticisers around him bcoz they, in reality, are helping the devotee to be always alert about his character and remain humble. "The cause of suffering among intellectuals todayis not because they don't really know; they know a little, but what they know is not their own knowledge, and that is why they suffer. A little, or partial knowledge, is always dangerous like the partial truth. Partial truth is not truth at all, so is the case with partial knowledge. The wise directly perceive knowledge."--Swami RamaThe interpretation of the term "poverty" itself is highly debatable. In our great BhAratheeya sanskrthi, materialism has no place. LACK OF DEVOTION (Bhakthi) AND CONTENTMENT IN LIFE IS THE REAL POVERTY. Our Seers who deeply analysed the cause of sorrow and suffering in human life have taught us that the way to real happiness is to treat gold (luxury/comforts) and women (bodily pleasures) equal to sand. Nothing can be more foolish in attaching undue importance to things that are perishable. A person may earn crores of rupees during his life time but he will carry not even a single paise with him when he dies. Will he ?. Our own body, which we feel proud of, gets reduced to a handful of ash. None of those who praise our wealth, strength and valour would accompany us in the end; not even one's own wife, children, friends etc. It is only our "pApa" (sins) and "puNya" (noble deeds) that obidiently follow us during our never- ending journey. "...sanprApthE sannihithE kAle nahi nahi rakShathi dukrnkaraNe...Bhaja gOvindham Bhaja gOvindham gOvindham Bhaja mooDa mathE"-- MOha mudhgaram [O fool !!! when death stares at you, no worldly knowldege can save you (except Lord's grace). Hence pray to Govinda - the saviour of all]Well, the main question here is the materialistic poverty of Devi Upasaks. It is important to bear in mind that the philosophy and attitude towards life differs from person to person. While a majority of people are deeply attached to this volatile life and are ever busy in their materialistic pursuits, a very few wise people try to free themselves from the bondages of this world. Every soul has taken birth on this earth with the ultimate purpose of attaining liberation from the cycle of births and deaths; but the "mAya" of the Divine Mother is so strong that everyone forgets the real purpose of their birth. Hence it is only by the Divine Grace of the Mother who is "avyAja karuNAmoorthih" [epitome of infinite grace], one realizes his true nature and purpose of taking birth. To obtain Her grace, one has to seek a Guru and do upAsana. Only She, who is "sansAra panka nirmagna samudDharaNa pandithA" can save us from drowning in the littered pond called "sansAra".If an upAsak / sAdhak is poor and is facing lot of worldly problems, then it is for sure that he has obtained Her divine grace, for: " yasyAnugrahamicChAmi thasya sarvam harAmyaham "--- Shreemad BhAgavatham[I snatch away all that is his's/her's on whom I shower my grace] There is an ocean lot of difference between the poverty of a devotee of the Mother and others. While the worldly people (sAnsArika prANi!!!) suffer bcoz of the sins committed by them in the past/present life, a devotee may face poverty bcoz the Mother wants to free her beloved son/daughter from the shackles of life and bless him/her with salvation. The Mother wants to test Her devotees whether their devotion is unshakable like a mountain or shallow like an earthen pot that breaks instantly when dropped down. A true Bhaktha (devotee) of the Mother will be oblivious of everything around him. He is not even aware of the so called poverty or other problems of life, for, he has rested his mind-soul-body at the holy lotus feet of Jagadhambaa that is the source of the divine ambrosia:"charaNam pavithram vithatham purANam yEna poothastharathi dhuShkrthAni thEna pavithrENa shudDhEna pUthA athi pApnAnamarAthim tharEma "--- shathru parAyaja manthram, yajna nArAyaNa upanishad, yajurvEdham.[The (Mother's) feet is the holiest, omnipresent, primordial and sanctifying that crosses over evil deeds and their effects. May we, seeking asylum at This feet (of the Mother), overcome our enemies, the sins]It is not that the Mother is not capable of knowing the worthiness of Her devotee without testing; Her wish is only to show to the world how great his son/daughter is. Gold glitters only when subjected to heat. An uncouth stone boulder gets transformed into a beautiful idol/statue only if it bears the blows of chisel & hammer and finally gets worshipped. A heap of clay takes a meaningful shape only if it puts up with the stampede of the potter. Many rich and wealthy men lived in the past. No one even remembers any of them now. But we not only remember those "poor" saints and devotees of Mother but also rever and worship them. The funniest thing is that none of us brought with us anything into this world when we came; and we will not take along with us anything when we leave this world. All of us are only utilising the assests of the Supreme Lord - the Lord of Lords and still we feel proud of "our" riches. During his last days, Shree RAmakrShNa paramahansa suffered from throat cancer. He could not even speak or eat/drink anything. Many of his so called desciples deserted him thinking that if the Paramahansa could talk to the Mother kAli, then why shall not he ask Her to cure his disease. Later, when other desciples aksed the same question to him, with great difficulty he told them that the disease is only to the body not to his soul. He further said that his body rightfully belongs to the Mother who created it and that She can use it according to Her wish. Inspite of the great pain, he used to be engrossed in "samADhi" and the divine smile on his face never faded. Can we notice any sign of the slightest of happiness on the faces of people who are always busy counting notes ? The product of materialism is desire, while the product of spirituality is love. If money, luxury, wealth, bank balance and comforts could give man the true happiness he longs for, then why is that more and more Westerners who have no dearth of comforts etc throng to the Ashrams in BhArath?.When one goes to the Emperor, he should not ask for small, petty amount of money; rather, one should ask the empire itself, for, the Emperor is capable of giving it. Similarly, the devotees of "ambaa" don't want to nag Her for silly things; Their aim is "mOkSha sAmrAjyam" - the divine abode. If She wishes, then She can make Her poor devotee a millionaire within no time, for, She is capable of creating and destroying many galaxies just within the wink of Her eye lids:"unmESha nimiShothpanna vipanna BhuvanAvalih"Those who remain undethered by their sufferings and worldly problems and continue their upAsana, will sooner or later gain Mother's full grace and live like a King on earth. Such sadhaks need not bow their head before anybody for anything. The Mother fulfills all their wishes. The word "impossible" has no meaning with them. Many such great men and women are living in this sacred land, even to this day. One needs to remove the cloth of egoism and ignorance that is blocking his/her vision, to identify such sadhaks. My infinite salutations to such great sadhaks." yathrAsthi BhOgo nacha thathra mOkShah yathrAsthi mOkShO nacha thathra BhOgah Shree sundharee sEvna thathparANAm BhOgashca mOkShashca karasTha Eva "--- BhAskara maKhin[ Where there is worldly pleasure, there is no salvation. Where there is salvation, there is no worldly pleasure. (one cannot enjoy worldly pleasure and salvation at the same time). But those who worship the Divine Mother, readily enjoys both wordly pleasure and salvation ]" O Mother ! take away your 'wealth', take away your 'poverty'. These seven angles are before the throne of god.God differentiated himself into these seven deities, imposing a different personality on each so that they could carry on the various functions of the universe--even so the same sunbeam is reflected differently when it falls on the blue sapphire, red ruby, yellow topaz etc.

It is possible for man to reach god directly, as the supreme deity over the seven deities, just as the man may personally contact any important personage. However, just as it is sometimes difficult to get to the head of the corporation without first meeting the responsible secretary, so it is taught by advocates of Deva/Devi worship that is easier first to contact god through one of his seven regents.

1.) The devotee in need of healing may pray to god "VISHVA" : "Manifest in me as Health !
2.) Those seeking a stronger life force may say " "Good TAIJAS"Recharge my energies.
3.) Those wanting insight & wisdom may pray to god as "PRANJA" :"Reinforce my wisdom & guide its determinations to its goals."
4.) Those devotees who want a perception of the whole physical universe may pray to god as "VIRATA": " Make me feel ! thy presence in all the cosmos".
5.) Those who want to know god as the cosmic life force may pray:" O cosmic Astral Engineer, Hirayanagarbha! manifest thyself to me as cosmic light".
6.) Seekers of the supernal wisdom of the first cause of all beings may pray" O god as Ishvaara ! implant in me the omnipresence of cosmic intelligence."
7.) those who want to get released from Maya, cosmic delusion, may direct their prayer to MAHA PRAKRITI, the holy ghost, the active divine conjurer of all illusory manifestations: " O cosmic mother, show me the one reality behind all thy veils of delusion".

Devotees who desire union with the universal intelligence of god omnipresent in the 7-aspected phenomenal world should pray to the immanent "KUTASTHA CHAITANAYA" : "Oh KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS or Christ Consciousness"--be thou manifest in the ecstasy-expanded cup of my consciousness !

Those finally want god, thee absolute beyond creation, should pray" "O Cosmic Consciousness, reveal Thyself ! Reveal Thyself !

In all these prayers the devotee should realize that he must continuously throw the "clarified butter" of devotion into the flame of spirit within these seven deities, or into the cosmic fire of god & perform excellent "YAGYA"

There are many many other deities in the universe too. The Tantra shastra in detail the specific vibratory chants & root sounds that should be properly intoned during a fire ceremony to invoke the presence of lesser or greater deities for the acquisition of power & boons.

But Sir Krishna says in Gita Oh Arjuna whose who worship the lesser gods go on to them after this mortal coil is cast away & that those are devotees of spirit become one with spirit.Satisfaction with anything less than the supreme lord himself continues to tie one to the limited realm of Maya. Law Of Action

Gita Shloka Translation:-

" OH Arjuna from food creatures spring forth, from rain food is begotten, from yajna(the sacrifical cosmic fire) rain(liquid vibration of astral energy) issues forth, the cosmic fire(light) is born of karma(divine vibratory action)"

Karma yoga the Path-Creation explained

Food is the fountain of lif & the rain is the stream that brings foth body sustaning food.cosmic fire, cosmic light, the quintessence of matter, condenses into enlivining rain & cosmic vibration, the creator of cosmic light throbs out of the heart of Brahma, the creative consciousness of god immanent in creation. The supreme cause from which evolve these successive links in the chain of creation is the sole imperishiable, the everlasting spirit beyond creation.spirit's reflection in vibratory creation as the divine creative consciousness is omnipresent, indivisibly inherent in every part & particle of the manifested universe.Lord Krishna stanzas in gita describes the entire law of creation, the outward evolution of creation from spirit into cosmic vibration & the condensation of vibration as light into man & the universe in casual, astral & physical forms.all living cratures evolved from matter. As every form of material life-sustaning nourishment issued forth from the primordial ocean of gathered waters or liquids that formed as the earth solidified from gaseous nebulae,so in turn the nubulae were precipitated from the ocean of gathered rains of astral cosmic energy, which is the essence of atoms, electrons, protons & neutrons. The rains of astral cosmic energy stream out of the cosmic light & atomic light or fire results from the ordered vibration or will of god(Cosmic karma or vibratory activity)

The original bible speaks the same"In the bengning god created the heaven & the earth. And the eaerth was without form & void & darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of god moved upon the face of the waters(creative elements-5 great elements). And the god said, let there be light & there was light"

The cosmic vibration & laws of action(karma),which govern the universe came from the Brahma or kuthstha chaitayana, gods infinite intelligence inherently present in all vibratory creation. This consciousness of god the son"TAT" immanent in all vibratory creation sprang from the immutable god the father "SAT" existing beyond all vibratory cretion.the creative Brahma being the reflected consciousness & existing in relation to the cosmos is therfore a temporary manifestation, dissolving in spirit when at the time of cosmic idssolution all cretion resolves back into the absolute, the sole impreishiable.

Within the brahman creative consciousness is Mula prakriti(SHAKTI), uncreated or undiffiereated nature, which holds the seed of all creation.Through the outflowing vibratory activity of god's will in the form of intelligent cretive cosmic vibration "AUM" the quiescent Mula prakriti is differentiated and as various vibratory forces & energies, the now-active prakriti brings into manifestation the multiform creation.

The intelligent cosmic vibration has two properties, cosmic light & the cosmic sound"AUM" all are the witness or evidence of the creator in his creation.Relative to the cretion of man these verses explanation from gita is explained as follows: the cosmic energy of the creative cosmic vibration is the immidiate source of all life-sustaning food. Thus man who is a microcosm of the universe is a product of cosmic energy of astral life current that became the condensed vibratory current of earth or matter reffered to in this verse as food. The gross outer sheath of the soul is called annamaya kosha.literally the covering mad from food & refers to the physical body.this gross body or solid vibration of earth or matter sprang from & is in turn nourished by the subtler or liquid flowing vibration of astral energy reffered to as "RAIN" in gita.As rain nourishes the life of the earth so the astral life energy vitalizes all matter. The fluid vibrations of cosmic energy are condensations of the subtle cosmic fire or cosmic light whihc is the essence, the building block of all things. And the cosmic light is born from the intelligent creative cosmic vibration "AUM" the active vibratiry will of god as the forces of prakriti or nature in man.this ordered vibration expression of divine law spirngs forth from the soul, the individualized Brahma creative consciousness. Thus ultimately man is made in the image of god, eternal consciousness.

God's creative consciousness may be desvribed as a dreamer who dreams the identional, astral & physical creation of amn & the cosms(SEE THE PICTURE OF LORD NARAYAN WITH MEDITATIVE EYES LYING ON STARS-HOW BEAUTIFULLY OUR SAINTS DEPICTED THE CREATIVE INTELLIGENCE OF THE UNIVERSE IN SIMPLEST FORM OF PICTURE)The creator dreamed &the cosmos & the man became dream realities in thought o idea form. From this ideational or casual dream god made forth the so called solid universe & man with his illusioary heavy body. The weight of the body or a peice of clod is a suggestion of god.The body as matter is in actually an elcromagnetic wave in the ocean of his universe whihc come & goes & then again comes into existence.

Thus man is the materialized mind of god.all creatures are informed or materialized from the frozen mind or ideas of god.all illusions of solid matter came from the liquid astral energy of fluid frozen mind of god. This frozen liquid mind or ideas of god came from cosmic energy as light or fiery frozen mind of god.The source of this light is the active vibratory frozen mind of god--intelligent cosmic vibration or prakriti--which directs all laws of the entire illusioary creation that is nothing but dreams of god.

BY-S.S.S.Y MORE ON............................KAALCHAKRA
<!--

Doubt and the various mental obstacles can be dispelled by the spiritual experiences that come through meditation. Especially when progress seems to be at a standstill, it is essential
to plod on doggedly with the practice. Yoga, like any other kind of learning, is never a straight ascent; there are ups and downs and plateaus. Bear this in mind, do not become discouraged, and be aware that all seekers encounter these same obstacles. They should be regarded as challengeswhich introduce growth opportunities to develop strength. But how did the yogi and the scientist get their information on the atom?In his book "Essentials of Occult Chemistry and Modern Science",H.J. Arnikar explains the methods the scientists and the yogis use in their researches. The wavelength of violet light is approx. 3 x 10^-7 metres. The size of the smallest particle that the human physical eye can see cannot be less than this size. An atom has a diameter of 10^-10 meters, a thousand times smaller. So how did man learn so much about the invisible atom? The scientist and the yogi follows two diverse paths. In our discussions below, we use the term ATOM for the atom of Science, TRIAD or QUARK for the first level subatomic particle, Anu (UPA - Ultimate Physical Atom) for the last-level subatomic particle, and, finally, ParamAnu or bubble for the ultimate particle of all planes. The Methods of Science----------------------The scientist learns about the atom by virtually torturing it.Even with the most powerful electron microscope, the atom appears as just a speck of light when projected on a screen. So the scientist pushes it into a highly excited state. By white heat, blinding light, with super-high electric fields. The application of a massive external force makes the atom run about at fantastic speeds. The intense magnetic fields generated force the atom into highly twisted curved paths, spinning and revolving in abnormal ways. And then the scientist lets the atom cool down, and come back to its ground state. Like a captive undergoing the third degree torture, the atom spills its beans. And the scientist learns. The Methods of Occultists-------------------------The yogi and the occultist object to doing violence to the atom, because they know that the divine life force inheres in it. They argue that the information obtained from an atom in a violently excited state may not be valid for the atoms in the normal, tranquil ground state. Therefore a yogi (we also include an occultist in this term)uses the yoga techniques of Patanjali, arduously practiced by him/her under the guidance of a Guru over long periods. The blessings of the Guru grant the yogi the siddhis. Anima siddhi in particular. What is this Anima siddhi? The Anima siddhi is the psychic ability to reduce human consciousness as small as the human chooses. When the yogi who has this power diminishes himself in consciousness to a size to match the atom, the atom becomes visible to him!The yogi then sees the world inside the atom. In all its detail, beauty and glory. And he studies the atom for whatever he needs. Westerners had some misconceptions about the Anima siddhi. They found the idea to reduce oneself (in consciousness) to a small size impossible to imagine, so they thought that the Anima siddhi magnified the atom to the desired level. It is not so. A yogi who can use the Anima siddhi, diminishes, not his body, but his consciousness to the level desired. In the case of an atom, both the yogi and the atom retain their sizes. And the yogi can enter into and out of the Anima state at will. Even when in the Anima state, the yogi retains his normal physical faculties. This means that from the Anima state he can talk normally and discuss his findings with the people around! The Atom Model of the Occultists--------------------------------Annie Besant and Leadbeater, using their clairvoyant powers, studied and mapped the atomic structure of practically all the elements known and a number of compounds. The Hydrogen atom, the simplest of all, with a single proton and a single electron around it, under the clairvoyant view, reveals a proton in its nucleus containing three triads (quarks), with each triad further having three numbers of the Anu (UPAs --Ultimate Physical Atoms). So the Hydrogen atom has 9 UPAs. The UPAs in other atoms are normally in multiples of 9.The actual shape of the Anu (UPA) is roughly spherical, slightlyflattened, with a depression at the point where the force or energy flows in, causing a heart-shaped form. The Anu is spinning or pulsating as if it is breathing. Each Anu (UPA) is composed of ten coils arranged laterally, but without touching one another. Each coil is itself a spiral having 1,680 turns or spirilla. And these spirilla are dotted with bubbles, the ParamAnu. Around 14 million bubbles in an atom of the physical plane. Each atom is surrounded by a field formed of the atomic particles of the higher planes, which surround and interpenetrate it.Arrangement of the UPAs (Anu), quarks (triad) and bubbles in coils of spirillae give external shapes to the nucleus ofthe atoms of different elements. Typical shapes observed are: Dumb-bell, Tetrahedron, Cube, Octahedron, Bars, and Star. Psychokinesis-------------Using the will-power to create or change objects is called psychokinesis in modern parapsychoanalysis. Lester Smith in his book "Occult Chemistry Re-evaluated" states that Bishop Leadbeaterused to perform before a circle of friends the feat of changing one substance to another, transmuting it using will-power. Leadbeater had a dual religious membership: He was a Christian Bishop, but he became a member of the Buddhism also during one of his visits to Tibet. The Tibetan masters forbid him against such demonstrations as of no value.Other terms used for the psychic ability to see through matter are clairvoyance, extrasensory perception (ESP) and micropsi.Scientists Favouring Occult Researches--------------------------------------Some of the top ranking scientists have accepted the essentials of Occult Chemistry and positively contributed to its growth.Dr. Stephen M. Phillips (UK/USA)--------------------------------The foremost among the scientists who found the resemblances between the findings of Science and Occult Chemistry fascinating. It was Dr. Phillips who determined that the positive quark had a charge of +2/3e and the negative, -1/3 e. He further deduced that the postive Anu had a charge of 5/9e and the negative, -4/9e. Dr. Philips is said to be currently researching in colloborationwith a revered Buddhist occultist in Canada about the superstring structure of the electron.Dr. E.Lester Smith (UK) is working to reconcile the findings of Science and Occult Chemistry and arrive at a whole picture.Dr. Ronald Cowen (Canada) is colloborating with Dr. Phillips in the study of electron using clairvoyance.Dr. Mahadeva Srinivasan (India), Associate Director of Physics Group of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay, has written a seires of three articles published by The Hindu in 1994. In these articles he has stressed the importance of quantitative resemblance of the findings of Occult Chemistry and Science, though the occult methods are not intelligible to scientists. He is popular for his lectures on this and other subjects of science in India and abroad. So, where are we going, as a humanity? We talk about holistic medicine and holistic healthcare, by the integrated use of the medicines of allopathy, ayurvedic, homeopathy and other medical disciplines. Why not a holistic Science that integrates Science, philosophy, occultism and mysticism?Let us hope that Dr. Phillips' pioneering work in using yoga for Science will be a trend-setter. There is so much Science in Spirituality that Science cannot afford to ignore anymore.Sources:1. The Project Gutenberg eBook, Occult Chemistry, by Annie Besant and Charles W. Initially most Indians (Pre-Aryans) used to practice their own indegenous religions. This is particularly true when we look at the establishment of soma natha as well; the history of soma natha clearly shows a shiavite transformation of the older tribal religions proximate to where the temple and community is now.

This radical transformation occured primarily at the advent of the Vedas in India. It soon followed a variety of interpretations and belief systems including the popular "Sanathana Dharma" which to my understanding is nowadays somewhat subjective with respect to discusssing its origin and its teachings.

Certain individuals belive that the Rama and Krishna Avatars were the advocates and the pillars of the Sanathana Dharma. Others believe it predated them and that they reintroduced it, whereas a lesser minority believe there is no correlation between the belief structure taught in Gita and the concept of Sanathana Dharma. In this case the minority groups believe Krishna to be an important but not the central figure in imparting the Sanathana Sathya. Which, they claim, is independant of any particular scripture. Regardless of all this, most people still believe that Sanathana Dharma simply is the belief in Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa a simplified belief structure which is nowadays advocated by Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Regardless of the controversy surrounding the origins and the exact nature of Sanathana Dharma there is the Vedanta and the Yogic Schools of thought. These soon followed the Esoteric School of thought nowadays known as Tantra (although this is also a generalization). A transition from the Vedanta to the Tantra are the Agama and Nigama Shastra but they too differ significantly from school to school. The most highly regarded of the Agama Shastris were the Kashmiri Shaivas but most of the great masters of that lineage have suffered great loss due the the current circumstances surrounding their home region.

These are the four largely held and respected philosophical schools we find in India, they are all interrelated but still hold themselves to be independant from the others. Many masters such as Mahidhara, Vivekananda and Nityananda as well as Adi Shankara tried to establish a synergistic system comprising of all of these components, but for scholars their interpretations are highly unorthodox and unique to them. This does not mean that it deviates from the original message of Yoga, Veda, Tantra or Santhana. Quintessentially the message and the aim is somewhat similar if not the same. The variance is in the means and the method. Vedas have a different methodology to say tantra, by which I mean it is not identical. So when a compromise is reached between the two then the resultant can niether be classified as adherent to Vedic or Tantric traditions. This is what I mean by the notion that the teachings of the above mentioned masters are unorthodox as they dont reflect the complete nature of either school.

The same can be said about Krishna's Gita, in simplifying the message of the Vedas certain components were not included within the Gita. Primarily the methodology to attain the stated realization. Lord Krishna stresses on the need of a Guru in the Gita as well when he mentions to Arjuna the lineage and the transferance of the message from one master to another. Thus emphasizing on the importance and significance on the Guru parampara. When the above mentioned masters wrote works elucidating on methodology they had to make a compromise between the pure mechanistic approach of each individual school of thought and what they themselves had to say.

I personally want to seek out the original message of the Vedas, prior to Vedanta being partitioned into various schools and different subsets. So basically prior to even the advent of the upanishads, samhitas and sutras pertaining to vedanta as each have their own blend of interpretative proses and therefore are a potential source of variance from the original teachings of the Vedas.

So before I end this up, I'd like to sum up the purpose and nature of this posting.

You see what we find as being Yoga, Veda or Tantra nowadays is completely deviant from the original nature of these respective schools. Their essence, thier true practical nature is now saturated in a myriad of different philosophies proposed by students or third person sources as opposed to the original proprietors of these schools. Samhitas and Upanishads dont have the certainity or the clarity in their teachings which are reflected in the fact that there is variation from one text to the other.

We stand in the world now, in a religious order now which is void of its virginity with respect to its doctrines. Now we find a plaethora of philosophies, doctrines, teachers and schools. Who is to say which is the original, which reflects the authentic creed and which are completely false.

I will, God willing start ranting on later about the Sharma and Mishra philosophies. The two most commonly practiced philosophies in India and what I personally hold as being the abominations which strike the intellect and wisdom of Hindus. Over 5000 years ago, and probably much earlier in ancient
Sumeria, OM was known and used as a secret word by Sumerian mystics and
priests.
When the Indo-Aryan tribes wandered east from Sumeria to Northern
India, they carried the precious and scared word OM with them. In the
oldest known Indian scriptures, OM has always had a place of
prominence.
Nearly all Mantras and hymns begin and end with OM. Om is also used
alone
as a Mantra and is considered to be the most powerful one.
There are countless stories still circulating in India telling
that if a person can pronounced the word OM with the right vibration
and
proper concentration, he can attain all 'siddhis', that is power to
perform all kinds of miracles, such as healing people, producing rain,
or
walking over water.
